Robert Swansbrough
Born in Ithaca and has called Brooktondale home for the past 25 years. A lifelong hunting enthusiast, Robert has dedicated himself to educating the next generation on how to enjoy the outdoors safely, ethically, and responsibly.
Since 2015, he has served as a certified Hunter Education Instructor with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), helping new hunters develop the skills and mindset needed to pursue their passion with confidence and care.
Robert is also an active member of the United States Practical Shooting Association and has been a certified Range Safety Officer since 2019. As a licensed NRA Pistol Instructor since 2017, he continues to guide individuals in the safe, responsible use of handguns, combining real-world experience with a deep commitment to safety and education.
Jon Littlefield
A lifelong Ithaca native whose journey led him from a successful 20-year career in e-commerce sales to discovering a deeper calling in the world of shooting sports. What began as a childhood fascination with rifles evolved into a lifelong commitment to safety, skill, and empowering others.
After earning his New York State pistol permit in 2012, Jon dedicated himself to helping new pistol owners gain the confidence and competence they need to handle firearms responsibly. With a teaching style rooted in patience, clarity, and unwavering attention to safety, Jon transforms uncertainty into confidence—one shooter at a time.
In 2017, he became a certified NRA Pistol Instructor, and in 2019, he furthered his leadership in the field as a Range Safety Officer with the United States Practical Shooting Association. Today, Jon is not only an instructor—he’s a mentor, an advocate for responsible gun ownership who believes that education is the key to both safety and excellence.
